At present, the three meter reading of water meter, electricity meter and gas meter of many urban residents is the method of monthly household or outdoor meter reading by staff. Enterprises not only need to be equipped with a large number of meter reading personnel, but also waste a lot of human, material and financial resources, which is not conducive to the cost saving of enterprises.
With the improvement of people's living standards and the continuous increase of modern intelligent residential areas, the requirements for the level of property management are higher and higher, which requires improving the efficiency of meter reading of water, electricity and gas. Therefore, we adopt the automatic remote monitoring and meter reading system in the design to monitor and manage the water, electricity and gas in the modern intelligent residential district.
1、 Composition and function of remote three meter reading system
1.1 composition of remote three meter reading system
The system is mainly composed of enterprise management computer, community host, GPRS wireless transmission system, terminal system, alarm, electric valve, sensor and so on. The system block diagram is shown in Figure 1.
1) The enterprise management computer is the control center of the three meter remote meter reading system. The management software adopts the method of modular programming. Each type of I / O device has an I / 0 device driver module. Various functions can be customized according to the requirements of each user, and new functions can be expanded according to the changes of the situation. Enterprise management computers are generally installed in the computer room center of water, power and gas companies.

3) The basic function of GPRS general wireless packet service is to provide packet transfer service between the terminal and the router of the computer communication network. GPRS allows users to send and receive data in the end-to-end packet transfer mode, Without using the network resources of circuit switching mode, it provides an efficient and low-cost wireless packet data service. Therefore, GPRS is especially suitable for intermittent, sudden or frequent, small amount of data transmission, as well as occasional large amount of data transmission, so it is especially suitable for three meter data wireless transmission.

4) Intelligent terminals can be installed indoors or in the public space of the building. They are directly connected with water, electricity and gas meters or sensors. They can carry out signal processing and data acquisition, and complete control.
5) The electric valve is installed in the public space of the corridor or in the kitchen. When receiving the alarm signal or emergency affairs such as water leakage and fire, it can turn off the valves of water, electricity and gas.
6) The sensor is installed inside the meter to convert the signal and convert the number of turns of the dial into pulse signal output.

Different combination methods are selected according to different situations. Each intelligent terminal module has several I / 0 interfaces, which are respectively connected with equipment (such as pulse meter, electric valve, relay, AC contactor, alarm, etc.).

This system can control the water, electricity and gas valves of users in the community through the community control center, deal with emergencies and protect the lives and property of users in the community.
4) Reasonable price and convenient maintenance. The maintenance cost of this system is relatively low.
5) The system can improve the efficiency of meter reading. Operating enterprises can reduce the number of meter reading and charging personnel, shorten the time of capital recovery, reduce the labor intensity of meter reading and charging personnel, avoid the inconvenience to residents caused by meter reading and charging, expand the service area of meter reading and charging personnel, improve work efficiency and reduce enterprise costs.
3、 Conclusion
GPRS technology is very suitable for the three meter reading remote system of water, electricity and gas. Compared with the traditional way, the advantages of using GPRS Technology for water, electricity and gas meter reading system are always online, good real-time performance, easy maintenance, reasonable charge and so on. This paper mainly analyzes the composition and function of the developed water, electricity and gas remote meter reading system based on GPRS technology. The utility model not only realizes the functions of real-time monitoring and automation of the gas meter reading system, but also plays an active role in reducing the cost of the gas meter reading and automatic operation, and improving the safety of the gas meter reading system.
